The "SBS McDonald's World Cup Profiles" project was a collaboration to create engaging video profiles for SBS, highlighting the stories of various football fans and their connection to the World Cup. Sponsored by McDonald's, these profiles aimed to bring a personal touch to the global event, showcasing the passion and diverse backgrounds of football enthusiasts.
Cinematography Approach:
The project focused on capturing the vibrant energy and personal stories of the fans. Using a hybrid TVC/documentary style, vibrant colour palettes, and stylised composition, the visuals aimed to reflect the excitement and emotion surrounding the World Cup. Emphasis was placed on capturing candid moments and genuine reactions, bringing a relatable and heartfelt touch to each story. The profiles were shot in locations that resonated with the personal stories being told, adding authenticity to each narrative.
Outcome:
The profiles successfully connected viewers with the personal stories behind the global football phenomenon, enhancing SBS's World Cup coverage and providing McDonald's with authentic brand integration.
